- How would you describe yourself?
- Like most people, I like to have fun and believe that laughter is important in a successful relationship and a stable family. I enjoy the company of others, but I am not gregarious. I enjoy times alone as much as I enjoy social situations, and do not like being the center of attention
I try hard to be open-minded and to see things from the perspective of others, and I like to experiences new and different things. I enjoy traveling and exploring. I am the kind of person who will drive onto an unknown road just to see where it will go. It is not in my nature to be jealous and I have little tolerance when someone gets jealous over me. People can and do rely on me, and I always keep promises.
I have great patience for some things, but little patience for others (like being stuck in traffic or a dull conversation). I am optimistic, but realistic; idealistic, yet practical; disciplined, but sometimes whimsical. In spite of my stubbornness, the years have taught me the value of compromise. I have an analytical way of thinking, and I sometimes have to be careful not to overanalyze things.
My favorite hobby is working in my garden. I have a degree is in ecology and I have a deep-rooted love of nature and wildlife. I especially enjoy photographing flowers and wildlife, both in my backyard and in the field. I love the outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, walking, and canoeing. I also enjoy dining out and traveling. I like big dogs, strong coffee and drive a pick-up truck. Recently I’ve developed a taste for art and antiques.
I work as an Environmental Scientist for a US government agency that develops and enforces environmental regulations. I like my job most of the time, but working for the federal government is sometimes frustrating.
I live on a farm Jackson, a rural town in southern New Jersey, close to where I grew up. It is approximately 45 minutes north of Philadelphia and one hour south of New York City. Virtually any career one might wish to pursue is within a 45-minute commute of my home, and there are universities and many smaller colleges within commuting distance. There are a great number of recreational activities, far too many to list, but some are education, shopping, parks, camping, hiking, boating, museums, gardens, sports of all types, movies, theaters, conventions, clubs, associations, you name it. Many beautiful New Jersey beaches are within 50 minutes. The weather is seasonal: winter is cold, but temperatures usually don’t go below -10 Celsius, Spring is wet and warm and beautiful (flowers), summers are hot, temperatures usually 30 to 35 Celsius, and Fall is mild and beautiful (Autumn colors). - How would you describe your ideal partner?
- She is the kind of woman who smiles easily and enjoys life. She likes to laugh (especially at me) and has lots of patience. She would be willing to participate in some of my interests and activities as I would in hers. In addition to our common interests, she should have her own interests and hobbies, and perhaps a career, that she could develop on her own. She should be open to new experiences, and like to explore. She would be independent, yet supportive; demanding, yet understanding.
She would believe and rely in me and I in her. I believe in a lifestyle where both partners share equally in decisions that affect the family, where both equally enjoy the good times and support each other in the bad times.
It would not matter to me whether my future wife wanted to work and wanted to stay home. While I would encourage her to develop or enhance her own career, I would be able and happy to support her if she wished to stay at home. I want to have children, watch them grow up and teach them everything I know about life.
I would be happy to find someone who is honest, sincere, supportive, patient, responsible, open-minded, trusting and likes attention. It would be good if she were slim and in good shape. Most of all, I want someone who enjoys life, likes to smile and laugh, is reasonably secure, and wants to have a family. She should be up to any age in which children could be provided, and if she had children already that's wonderful. Non-smoker only.
I guess I have to admit that I’m not looking for perfection. So if she has some of the qualities that I am hoping for, and I have some of the things she is looking for, I would like to know more about her. - If you knew the world was going to end in 30 days, what would you do?
- I'm not sure I would do anything different. All the desires and wants I have left in life would take longer much longer than 30 days to achieve.
- If you had 10 million dollars to spare, what would you do with it?
- First, I would invest it carefully, to cover all anticipated life expenses, such as future & present living expenses, children's education, health expenses, etc. Then use the annual interest and capital gains for charitable causes, take more time off from work to spend with my family, increase the time I manage my non-profit organization. Other considerations would be to remodel and expand my home, perhaps look for another home nearby or a vacation cottage at the beach. As time went on, I would leave my full time job, hire people to manage my non-profit, then spend more time traveling with my family, overseas or nationally in a large recreational vehicle. Other considerations would be to go back to school, provide for specific wants of the family, who know what else. The most important thing would be to not rush out and buy things....learn how to invest the money first.

- Defenders of Wildlife asked us to bring some of our wolves on the Today Show and other news outlets, which greatly increased the exposure of our rescue operation.
- What is the best advice that you give to your children?
- Impossible to sum up in a few works, but for starters, don't ever give up, and don't let fear ever stop you from achieving your goals.
- What has produced the biggest impression (shock) on you?
- No 'thing' has produced a shock upon me that I can remember, however many people have been a large influence upon me, in both a positive and negative way.

- There are many, but my main goal, that which is most important, the one thing that has somehow escaped me somehow, yet for so many reasons, is to start a family
